Chinakurali is just 12km away from Pandavapura Taluk, Mandya district. This is a developed village which is situated on Rocky terrain. People used to dry horse grams on the rocks and then they had the habit to eat with salt and spicy. The horse grams are also known has Chiku– Huruli and it became Chinakurali.
Chinakurali is surrounded by historical, spiritual places such as Melukote, Kerethonnuru and the world famous K R S dam and Baby Betta.
C.S Puttaraju, Honourable minister, small irrigation department Karnataka State government realized the fact and thought to provide the English medium education in his native place. C.S Puttaraju met Sri Dr. J.N Ramakrishnegowda at Sri Skhetra Adichunchanagiri who gave suitable suggestions to pray to His holiness Jagadguru Padmabhushana Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Swamiji to start the institutions. With the divine presence of Guruji SACT Trust ® established Sri BGNS Vidyalaya in 1997 with just 70 students.
The present 72 pontiff His holiness Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji believes that ‘education is- learn to live, live to learn’. He also wished to provide the quality and value based education to the students from the rural area.
With the blessings, direction and advice of Mahaswamiji Dr. J.N Ramakrishna Gowda, secretary of the Hemagiri branch has strived hard to bring out the institution providing so many facilities like building, stadium, spacious classrooms, computer lab, auditorium and Transport facility. The strength of students from LKG to 10th standard is more than 1000. It has been maintening 100 % excellent result in the SSLC Examination.
